Ultra Drain Guard Recycled Details
The Ultra Drain Guard Recycled Model is made from Ultra-Filter-Tex, a material made out of 100 percent recycled material that is hydrophilic. The hydrophilic nature of the Filter-Tex material allows water to pass through it quickly, while oils and hydrocarbons are filtered and caught. Silt, sediment, and debris are held in the catch basin debris catcher. While drain guards made with nonwoven geotextile fabric capture debris and sediment, they do not remove oils, gas or other hydrocarbons from the stormwater flow. But, the Ultra Drain Guard - Recycled Model does! Not only is it effective in capturing hydrocarbons, it offers the extra advantage of being made with recycled materials, providing an environmentally friendly option for your Stormwater Protection Plan.
The flow rate of the Filter-Tex material is 151 gal/ft.2 and the Recycled Model of the Ultra Drain Guard is built with overflow ports for those heavy rainfall events. If you need stormwater BMPs that are environmentally-friendly, have a smaller carbon footprint, and are made from recycled materials, then this catch basin filter is a great choice for you, especially if filtering both oil and sediment is something you need to stay in compliance.
Runoff from vehicles and machinery is full of pollutants. Road stormwater drainage needs to be filtered appropriately to address these pollutants for compliance. When used properly, the recycled model drain guard is a recommended Stormwater BMP, and will keep your site in compliant with clean water requirements.

The Recycled Model of the Ultra Drain Guard will capture silt, sediment, oil, and hydrocarbons. Our drain guards are proven, effective tools for capturing pollutants that enter storm drains. The Recycled Model can hold up to 40 lbs. of sediment in weight capacity. And we also have storm drain guards that are built to have a higher capacity.
To install the Recycled Model Catch Basin Filter, all you need to do is lift the storm drain grate, place the drain guard in the catch basin, and replace the grate. Sometimes those storm drain grates can be heavy. We have two different tools that can assist you with lifting the storm drain grate. The Grate Lifter and Grate Hook, make lifting a storm drain grate by yourself easier and safer.
