Rolled Erosion Control Products
Rolled erosion control products (RECPs) control erosion in areas, and are available in a variety of styles to suit temporary or long-term erosion control. Providing an environmentally-friendly solution to erosion control, coir mats are designed to eventually biodegrade. As the coconut erosion control blanket decomposes it enriches the soil.
Semi-Permanent Coir Erosion Control
Typical Lifespan: 2-5 years
High-strength, open-weave coir mat makes it easy for vegetation to penetrate the ground cover while still facilitating soil stabilization and erosion control.
Semi-Temporary Erosion Control Mats
Typical Lifespan: 9-24 months
Semi-Temporary Coir Mats are constructed from a blend of 70% wheat straw and 30% coconut fiber. These straw coir mat RECPs provide an environmentally-friendly option for projects that need a durable erosion control solution that is fully resolved within 24 months of installation.

Temporary Erosion Control Mats
Typical Lifespan: 6-9 months
Short-term erosion control mats are made from combinations of wheat straw, jute, and wood materials. These erosion control blankets typically last from 6 to 9 months after installation and are usually used in fairly level locations with low water flow.

Permanent Erosion Control Mats
For long term erosion control, we also offer a UV stabilized synthetic fiber mat (also known as a turf reinforcement mat or TRM). Turf Reinforcement Mats contain heavy duty synthetic materials. They are not biodegradable and should not be used in wetlands or environmentally sensitive areas.
