Rigid Containment Sump
The fuel tank containment sump, made of Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), provides secondary containment for fuel tanks of 275, 550, and 1000 gallons. The actual containment capacity of the spill containment sump is 110 percent of the fuel tank capacity being stored. The all-polyethylene construction is corrosion and rust resistant. The rigid containment tub can be used with a self-bailer when used outdoors and with a drain, which must be specified. There's also an optional pullover cover to keep rainwater out of the Ultra containment sump.
Flexible Containment Sump
The flexible model of tank spill containment sump is a containment tub that can be broken down and moved easily from site to site. Made with flexible 18 oz. PVC and L shaped brackets, this Ultra containment sump is easily folded and shipped. The flexible containment tub provides economical and portable spill containment that is also sturdy. The heat-welded PVC material easily holds the L shaped brackets in place for superior fuel tank containment.

Spill Containment Sump Applications
The tank spill containment sump can be used to contain fuel tanks to keep you in compliance when spills occur on your site. If storing fuel tanks in outdoor conditions, where rainwater or stormwater can easily enter the Ultra containment sump, then a self-bailer can be used but only when the spill containment sump has been purchased with a drain. When the containment tub is used with a drain and a self-bailer, then rainwater and stormwater can be cleaned while you drain the sump from hydrocarbons.

Tank Spill Containment Sump FAQs
Shipping is a big difference between the two models of Ultra containment sump. The standard Ultra containment sump is made of hard LLDPE, which is stretch-wrapped and shipped via LTL freight. The flexible model of the Ultra containment sump, however, can be folded and shipped less expensively via the USPS.
Great question. When using a spill containment sump outside, stormwater can often get into the containment tub. In order to maintain proper stormwater regulations, you can filter the hydrocarbons from the large plastic utility tub through a self-bailer. Be aware that in order to use a self-bailer you will need to have an Ultra containment sump with a drain. Additionally, you can get a pullover cover to keep rainwater out of the standard Ultra containment sump.
